Laboratory System and Internal Audit as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – Our training covers the interpretation of all the requirements of the standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 ‘General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories’. It also includes the consideration of a risk-based approach while developing the management system for the laboratory. The training has a comprehensive session of planning, conducting, and follow-up of the Internal Audit in a Testing and Calibration Laboratory. The International Framework of Accreditation and NABL Accreditation process is explained during the training. Further, to make the training interactive and engaging, exercises simulating real-life scenarios in the laboratory have been introduced for various requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The training helps the participants to understand the various requirements and development of the management system as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and conduct an internal audit effectively.
Uncertainty of Measurement and Decision Rule as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – As per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, when a statement of conformity to a specification or standard is provided, the laboratory shall document the decision rule employed, taking into account the level of risk (such as false accept and false reject and statistical assumptions) associated with the decision rule employed, and apply the decision rule taking into consideration of Uncertainty of measurement. The training program would cover the basic principles of uncertainty measurement and their specific application in various measurements impacting Decision Rules. Broadly, the training covers topics like the concept of measurement and accuracy & precision, understanding of measurement uncertainty & its need. Interpretation of Measurement Uncertainty, Step-by-step methodology of estimation of uncertainty, Overall guidance on how to select appropriate decision rules, ‘Risk’ associated with a decision rule, Decision rule in reports covering statements of conformity, etc. The program is inclusive of Individual / Syndicate exercises, Comprehensive case studies, and Questions & Answers.
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – Risk Management Requirements & Implementation in Laboratories – This third edition, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 has been technically revised and one of the main changes compared to the previous edition is the risk-based thinking which has enabled some reduction in prescriptive requirements and their replacement by performance-based requirements. Addressing both risks and opportunities establishes a basis for increasing the effectiveness of the management system, achieving improved results, and preventing negative effects. The laboratory is responsible for deciding which risks and opportunities need to be addressed. The course gives a structured and comprehensive approach to Risk Management in Laboratories. The course includes ISO 31000:2018; Principles, framework, process and techniques of Risk Management. Various practical Risk management Techniques are also covered.
Measurement of Uncertainty in Microbiological Testing – The training is focused on Measurement Uncertainty related to Microbiological Analysis as per ISO 19036:2019 ‘Microbiology of the food chain- Estimation of Measurement of Uncertainty for Quantitative Determinations’. The training has practical examples of how to estimate UoM in Microbiological testing. After this training, the Participants shall understand the need for measurement uncertainty, international practices and Calculations involved in estimating the UoM for Microbiology Measurements.
Drinking Water Testing as per IS 10500:2012 – The training is focused on IS 10500:2012, its introduction including Terminology of Drinking Water, Bacteriological Quality of Drinking Water, Virological Requirements, Biological Requirements, Organoleptic & Physical Parameters, General Parameters, Undesirable Substances, Toxic Substances & Radioactive Substances etc. The training is focused on the Practical Demonstration of Physical, Chemical, and Bacteriological Parameters with Numerical Computation. The training is meant for laboratories engaged in Water testing. Critical aspects of Testing are discussed with the participants and made clear to them.
