Capacity Building Programs for SADCAS, A Multi-Economy Accreditation Body in SADC region
The Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services (SADCAS) is a regional accreditation body established under the SADC Protocol on Trade to oversee conformity assessment services in member states without national accreditation bodies. South Africa and Mauritius have their own accreditation bodies, while the remaining 13 countries, including Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Eswatini, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, rely on SADCAS, Botswana.
To enhance competence, TCB conducted the following training programs for SADCAS officials and assessors in Botswana:
• Laboratory System & Internal Audit Training per ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
• Assessment Principles, Practices, and Techniques per ISO 19011:2018.
• ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – Risk Management requirements & implementation.
