Support to Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP)

The APMP DEC – CMC Task Force is undertaking a program to support the Developing Economy NMIs (DENs) / Designated Institutes (DIs) without CMCs publishing their CMCs in the in the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) Key Comparison Database (KCDB). Based on a need assessment undertaken by the CMC Task Force in March 2022, the field identified as a common priority to begin this work program is mass. The CMC Task Force has confirmed support for these Developing Economy NMIs (DENs) / Designated Institutes (DIs) without CMCs. One of the key delivery mechanisms of the program is having a series of the trainings/workshops for DEC members, especially for the participating NMIs/DIs to review their knowledge in quality management system and technical capabilities. At the APMP DEC Strategic Planning Workshop 2023 in Thailand, Head TCB Alok Jain delivered a lecture as Invitee & Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (#APAC) representative during the program. A total of 120 participants from 24 countries attended the program.
