Training on ‘Uncertainty of Measurement’ for WQMSP Lab Technicians and State Staff by QCI/TCB under Jal Jeevan Mission
The Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (RDWSD), Karnataka approached the QCI/ TCB to conduct a training program under the Jal Jeevan Mission by UNICEF on ‘Uncertainty of Measurement’ for WQMSP Lab Technicians and State Office staff, including analysts of all district laboratories and head office staff.
The 2-day training program on ‘Uncertainty of Measurement’ refers to the quantification of doubt about the result of a measurement. It focused to help the laboratory personnel in the estimation of uncertainty of measurement, and identify the degree of confidence in test results, which is crucial for decision-making processes. This aids in assessing the risk associated with false positives or negatives, especially in critical water quality parameters.
The entreated 2-day Residential Training from 4-5 July 2024 was planned to be conducted at ANSSIRD, Mysore.
